Wedding Anniversary  - 8/4 (This year they celebrated 25 years).

Jonathan & Sherrie have been in Suriname now for almost 20 years.  They have four children, Matthew, Miriam, Nathanael and Tabitha.  Jonathan is the second son of veteran missionaries Darrell & Louise Champlin.  Jonathan was born in Congo (Zaire) Africa.  Jonathan & Sherrie began their deputation in late 1986 and they left for Suriname in the Summer of 1989.

While we've been gone, here are some of the special happenings in Suriname:

JUNE

One of Sherrie's  Sunday School girls, went to Kim Champlin to say the verses she had memorized and Kim was also able to lead her to the Lord.

AUGUST

Sherrie has held Bible studies with a lady since February 2007, a mother in her 30's, and she was baptized.  It was reported that she "was scared of the water, but didn't back out."  There has been a special joy in this lady since her baptism.

Three boys that were in Nathanael's junior age class and Jonathan's teen class came to ask about being saved.  They showed good understanding, but were not ready to make a decision.

SEPTEMBER

Another girl in Sherrie' Sunday School class made a profession of faith.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

Pray for salvation for the three boys mentioned above.

Pray for the new Christians mentioned above.

Pray for Nathanael's in his freshman year at college and Miriam in her graduate work.

Please for Matthew and Bethany in their first year of marriage.
