Summer 2009 Prayer Letter:
We arrived in Indiana on Saturday, July 11, and were met by my dad and sister and brother-in-law. My sister and her family had driven down from Chicago area to see us but unfortunately had to leave the next day. On Monday we hit the floor running with eye exams, a neurologist appointment for me, and the start to shopping for Caleb.
In the midst of all this, 2 laptops were repaired, one under warranty the other for much less than we could have had to pay. Several have sent special gifts to help with travel and with the cost of getting Caleb ready for college. Thank you! After much shopping, Caleb now has a wardrobe fit for college.
Back on the home front, The Jendrikdriks are carrying on the ministry in Rairok while we are gone. On one Sunday they had 3 teens and 4 children attend. We are excited to see the Lord's working in their lives and are thrilled to have them carry on in our absence. We also thank the Lord for good friends who are willing to pick up mail, drive our van, check on our house, and even go get the email address book from our computer and send it to us! We really are blessed to have friends in the Fishers and Utters who help us out in many ways. The Jendrikdriks and Boje have also kept an eye out for our house and watered Martha's flowers.
Caleb is settling in well to work and classes. Though we miss him terribly, we are excited to see how God is working in his life. Thanks to Aunt Becky and Uncle Tom, Caleb has a cell phone. Here is all of his new contact information: Caleb Fleck, PO Box 40437, Greenville, SC 29614 : Cell Phone - 815-641-1358 : Email - cflec042@students.bju.edu.
As we tearfully left campus, we headed to Greensboro, NC and spent the night with the Weatherfords. We reported to two supporting churches on Sunday then drove on to New Bern to see Martha's other two sisters. We thoroughly enjoyed spending Labor Day with family and a long time friend. The trip back to IN was made safely the next day. One day later, I drove back to MO to return the rental van and fly back to IN. We are currently finishing shopping and packing and preparing to fly out early on September 17th.
While this has not been a normal update, we are thankful to all who have prayed for us over the past 2 months. God truly blessed over and over again and we rejoice at His provision. Through the 10,016 miles on the road we have had safety and enjoyed wonderful Christian fellowship along the way.
Thanks to all who have given, encouraged, and kept us in your homes. We don't look forward to being separated from family, yet are excited to be headed home to the ministry to which God has called us.
We are so very blessed,
The Fleck Family
