Excerpt from their January 2010 Prayer Letter:
Another blessing was the addition added to our family-Amanda Rose. I got to enjoy her for one day before I boarded a plane to fly back to South Africa. I along with four children are slowly settling back into Africa life and ministry. It was a great joy to be reunited with the people and we are excited about what the Lord has in store for us in the coming years. It truly was a bless¬ing visiting the churches and I want to thank all for the loving support you have shown our family.
In the last eight months, our ministry has changed from the tropics of Africa to the white snow of the United States. We have traveled from Minnesota to New Jersey, Colorado, Texas and everywhere in between. All of the churches were a great encouragement and blessing.
Evangelize - This coming year we will be involved in many outreaches in the community. Our prayer is that the Gospel will have free course and many will be saved.
Discipleship - Along wtih the weekly preaching ministies here in the community of Sedgefield, we will begin a study which we entitled ‘Principles of Spiritual Growth’. This study will primar¬ily be a look at 1 and 2 Peter. Our prayer is that the Believers will mature in their faith.
Training - There are many who desire to be trained for the ministry or those who are already serving and have not received any training. This coming year we will be reaching out into the townships and our local churches to equip pastors and laypeople for the work God has called them to. Our prayer is that the churches will be strengthened through this vital ministry.
•A special prayer request is for the added and unseen cost of returning to South Africa. With the dollar being weak, the cost of things is a third more than they were a year ago. There are special items that the children need--dressers for their clothes and bookshelves for home schooling.
•Pray as Janelle, Carissa, Jordan, and Amanda travel back to South Africa at the end of the month.
•Prayer for souls to be saved and for the Believers to grow here in the Garden Route.
