La Verne and I thank you for your ministry to us, and to our beloved people through Christ's grace of giving, and your response to the Spirit of God as He leads. We thank our Father in heaven for each of you!
May we tell you of the progress of the Gospel, the evidence of God's grace and the fervor of the Lord's people here?
There was a theme for this years Easter camp; "Take up the Cross......"
About 370-380 brethren gathered at the Reflections Baptist Church for a 3 day camp, with preaching, singing God's praises, Baptism of new believers, and eating together.
PREACHING: Pastor Ram Chimbarange, Joseph, Themba, and Saidi Alubi brought messages that outlined the need for separation from the world and separation to Christ.
SINGING: Pastor Juma Alubi led the singing of praises with a guitar and piano accordian and the churches choirs led the praises with specially prepared harmonized songs.
BELIEVERS BAPTISM: 23 were baptized in the Vungu River and gave cause for much rejoicing and testimony.
EATING TOGETHER: La Verne and I were able to supply some of the basic food requirements such as maize meal, salt, oil, and other necessities. The brethren found means in their poverty to buy a cow and goats. This was enough to feed everybody for the 3 days. The Lord multiplied what we gave and increased joy in His abundant supply.
Thank you for praying for the works here. It is an honor to be your sevants in Christ, and to witness first hand the operation of the amazing grace of God, and the extension of the Gospel through other faithful men in Zimbabwe.
Pray for La Verne and me. There are many health issues and ministry requirements that press upon us together with all the uncertainties of living in this land. Pray for funds and to help the Simon Waugh Fund encourage the furtherance of the Gospel here. Pray for us. We need personal financial help in this work.
